InstaDeep, the Tunisian startup delivering AI-powered decision-making systems for the Enterprise, has announced today, January 25, that it has made a record fundraising of 100$ million and closed a Series B that was led by DeepTech investment firm Alpha Intelligence Capital, accompanied by CDIB.

Founded in 2014, InstaDeep is today an EMEA leader in decision-making AI products for the Enterprise, with headquarters in London, and offices in Paris, Tunis, Lagos, Dubai and Cape Town. The company was recently selected by CB Insights as one of the 100 most promising AI start-ups in the world for the second year running.

Created by two Tunisian engineers Karim and Zohra who have succeeded in solving an array of challenges, and with investors like Google, BioNTech, Chimera Abu Dhabi, G42.. , the company has made it to the top in optimizing strategies from therapeutics development to railway operations and more.


The dream team has proven their ability to solve very complex problems and to innovate, which has allowed them to gain the trust of their partners. They have succeeded in building a company of leaders which was their principal goal.

One of their best efforts came in late November when they created an early warning system (EWS) for detecting high-risk SARS-CoV-2 variants. Per a report by FT, this EWS identified more than 90% of World Health Organization (WHO) designated variants on average two months ahead of time and detected Omicron three days before it was classified as a variant of concern by the WHO..

For its future projects, the Tunisian startup intends to expand its geographical presence and conquer in particular the United States where it plans to deploy in 2022.


“The U.S. has huge potential and after the hard work we’ve done, I think it’s the right time to go there,” said Zohra Slim, the co-founder of InstaDeep.
